December 16, 2020GBMC HealthCare has become the first healthcare system in Maryland to receive the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the nation’s highest presidential honor for performance excellence. The Baldrige criteria are accepted around the world across all industries as the gold standard of quality.
“When organizations encounter problems, often times, it isn’t the people at fault, it is the system,” said John B. Chessare, MD, MPH, President and CEO of GBMC HealthCare, “The Malcolm Baldridge award goes to companies that utilize Baldrige criteria to get better results and help their people get the work done.”
