The mission of our medical oncology team is to treat cancer with the most advanced technology and procedures so patients can continue living, working, and fulfilling their dreams. The Cancer Institute's highly skilled, board-certified medical oncologists take a multidisciplinary, integrated approach to patient care, working closely with the professionals throughout the Institute including Radiation Oncology and the Infusion Center.

Your First Appointment
What should I bring to my first appointment?
- Referral from your Primary Care Physician
- List of preexisting conditions/medical history
- Insurance card(s)
- Referral from your primary care physician (if needed)
- Pre-authorization (if required by insurance company)
- Radiographic studies (CT, MRI, etc.)
- Pathology slides and reports
Does my insurance cover my treatments?
Most insurance companies will pay for at least a portion of your treatment. However, if your insurance claim is rejected, you will be responsible for the balance. We accept cash, check, Visa/MasterCard and offer a variety of payment plans.
What should I do if I have an urgent problem associated with treatment?
If you have an urgent problem associated with your treatment, such as fever, vomiting or other serious symptoms, please call our office immediately at 443-849-3051 and choose option 3 for instructions. If our office is closed, you'll be referred to our answering service, which will promptly contact the oncologist on call. In case of a true emergency, please seek immediate emergency treatment by calling 911.
