About Me
Lee Schmidt, MD, is the Director of the Joint Replacement Center and the Chief of the Division of Orthopaedics at GBMC. He has practiced at GBMC since completing his joint replacement fellowship in 1990. Treating both arthritic knees and hips, he has surgical expertise ranging from arthroscopic surgery to total joint reconstruction. Areas of special interest include partial and total knee replacement, hip replacement surgery and minimally invasive techniques. He is active in multiple professional societies including the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
