Work at another GBMC site, or have a membership with MAC/ACAC, YMCA or Brick Bodies? We have discounts for you there, too!
Health Insurance: GBMC offers employees an outstanding CareFirst medical plan that includes prescription drug coverage. Sign up during annual Open Enrollment or following a life event at GBMCBenefits.com.
Wellness Discounts: Save $50 per pay period ($1,300 per year) on your health insurance premiums on the CareFirst plan by completing several simple steps through HCI Active, our wellness program. Save an additional $50 per pay period on either health plan by not smoking. See HCI for resources on quitting smoking.
Vision and Dental Insurance: GBMC offers two vision insurance plans, one through VSP and the other being a free vision certificate through GBMC’s own eye clinic. Dental insurance coverage is offered through Cigna, including a plan offering adult orthodontics.

Plan for the Future
Retirement Savings:
The GBMC, Inc. Voluntary 403(b) Plan and GBMC, Inc. 401(a) Defined Contribution Plan are powerful tools to help you reach your retirement goals. As a supplement to other retirement benefits or savings that you may have, these Plans allow you to save and invest additional money for retirement! Not only will you defer taxes immediately, you may build extra savings consistently and automatically and learn more about saving and investing for your financial future.
403(b) Plan: A 403(b) plan, such as the GBMC 403(b) Plan, is a retirement savings plan designed to allow eligible employees to supplement any existing retirement and pension benefits by saving and investing through voluntary salary deferral. You can make contributions to the 403(b) plan on a pre-tax basis, in which case contributions and any earnings on your contributions are tax-deferred until money is withdrawn, usually during retirement.
401(a) Plan: The 401(a) Plan is a retirement savings plan designed to allow GBMC to supplement your retirement benefits. To be eligible to participate in the 401(a) Plan, you must be an active employee regularly scheduled to work in an eligible job classification.
Disability & life Insurances: These benefits are about having added peace of mind that you will have income in the event you face an extended illness or injury.
Additionally, GBMC offers all 20+ hour employees short-term disability insurance options for 40% or 60% income replacement. Long-term disability and life insurance are paid by the company. Dependent life insurance is available for purchase.
