Residency Requirements:
Post-Graduate Year 1 (PGY-1) Program
Pharmacists completing the GBMC PGY-1 pharmacy residency will be able to interact effectively with health care teams in various inpatient and outpatient clinical settings to manage patients’ medication therapy.
Required learning experiences will include rotations in in acute care, internal medicine, critical care, transitions of care, antimicrobial stewardship/infectious diseases, medication safety, ambulatory care, administrative/policy, and additional elective rotation as below for an individualized learning. Residents will also be staffing and will do projects and presentations during the residency.

Qualifications:
- Resident candidate must be a graduate of an ACPE accredited college of pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (or one in the process of pursuing accreditation) or have a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee (FPGEC) certificate from the NABP.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on the standardized GPA scale or a “Pass” grade on each class and rotation if from a “Pass/Fail” program
- Active Maryland Pharmacy licensure OR license should be obtained no later than 90 days from the start date of the position.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
