Alarming Findings About Teenager Suicidal Behavior
May 21, 2019Research recently published in the journal JAMA Pediatrics looked at children and teenagers from 300 emergency rooms across the country who were diagnosed with suicidal thoughts or suicide attempts. The results explained that the numbers dramatically increased from 580,000 in 2007 to more than 1.1 million in 2015. The study also showed that affected children were 13 years old on average, but 43 percent of the visits were children between the ages of 5 and 11 years old.
