The Division of Vascular Surgery at GBMC is not only committed to delivering the highest level of vascular care in the Mid-Atlantic region, but also focused on educating our patients, families, and communities about the risks of vascular disease.
We offer a wide array of vascular studies conveniently located on the GBMC campus to diagnose and treat all forms of vascular disease. Our award-winning team of board-certified vascular surgeons utilize the most up-to-date diagnostic tools to offer minimally invasive endovascular solutions for the most common vascular indications to the rare and complex. We understand each patient is unique so we are dedicated to developing a personalized plan of care for each patient, every time.
Peter Mackrell, MD
Chief, Division of Vascular Surgery at GBMC
Dr. Mackrell completed his undergraduate work at Princeton University, and graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed his surgical residency at Cornell University Medical Center and vascular surgical fellowship at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, SC. During his training, he was the co-investigator of multiple clinical trials. Year after year, Dr. Mackrell has been voted a “Top Doctor” by numerous publications, including: Baltimore Magazine, Castle Connolly and US News and World Reports.
