About Me
Jason Nellis, MD, is a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon who practices on the Randolph B. Capone Cleft Lip and Palate team at GBMC. He earned his medical degree at the University of Virginia and completed an otolaryngology-head & neck surgery residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland.
After residency, Dr. Nellis pursued advanced training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at Johns Hopkins and in Japan with the late Dr. Satoru Nagata, further broadening his expertise in microtia reconstruction, cleft lip and palate repair, otoplasty, rhinoplasty, and facial reanimation. He completedan American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) fellowship at the University of Minnesota,which included working at Children's Minnesota, one of the largest pediatric hospitalsin the United States, helping children with facial deformities through his extensive training in cleft lip and palate repair.
Dr. Nellis is passionate about international mission work,helping patients with facial deformities including pediatric facial deformities, such as cleft lip and palate, and adults with congenital and traumatic facial deformities.He is fluent in Spanish and Italian.
