About Me
Dr. Wheaton is originally from Connecticut and joined GBMC’s Hospitalist Medicine Practice in 2002, where she remains Board Certified and an active member of the medical staff. During her many years of providing patient care, Dr. Wheaton has focused on the importance of the patient experience in the practice of medicine. Recently Dr. Wheaton was selected as one of the physician leads and educators for Language of Caring, a model used to help care providers connect with their patients and demonstrate their caring.
Dr. Wheaton graduated with a BA in Psychology from Colby College (1995), received her Medical Degree from Penn State College of Medicine (1999), and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at York Hospital (2002) where she also served as Chief Resident.
