Q: What is the most rewarding part of being a manager?
A: “Seeing the positive outcomes of my team’s efforts that contribute to the success of the entire unit and influence the quality of care provided to patients.”

Q: What is the value of being a leader in a non-system hospital?
A: “I feel that my ideas are valued and my experience as an operating room nurse is taken into consideration when creating and implementing initiatives to improve the overall well-being of staff and care provided to patients.”

Q: What advice do you have for upcoming leaders?
A: “Actively listen to your team, embrace vulnerability, and continuously welcome feedback to improve upon yourself and build trust and collaboration.”

Q: What is one fun fact about you?
A: “I will graduate with my DNP in Executive Leadership from Walden University in Spring of 2025. I have utilized GBMC’s tuition reimbursement and scholarships for my BSN, MSN, and DNP programs.”

Q: Anything else you’d like to share?
A: “I have three children - Grady (7), Emerson (5), and Scarlett (1 month). I appreciate the support GBMC has given me to balance being a leader as well as a wife and mother.”
