The Greater Baltimore Lymphedema and Rehabilitation Center

Providing Outpatient Occupational Therapy & Physical Therapy as well as Specialist Physician Consultations.

Programs and Services include

Lymphedema Management Program is one of an elite group of programs directed by a physician trained in lymphedema management. Both Occupational Therapists (OT) and Physical Therapists (PT) are certified in lymphedema treatment, having completed over 135 hours of specialized education. The Lymphedema Program is an active member of the National Lymphedema Network (NLN).

Oncology Rehabilitation Program provides restorative services to a patient or loved one with active cancer; receiving chemotherapy or radiation treatment; post surgery; or in remission. The dedicated program allows for exercise in an environment conducive to cancer patients and, at times, side-by-side other survivors. The cancer patient learns to recover endurance and regain levels of independence. The Program coordinates with the patient's oncology team.

Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Services are available for the needs of referred patients from the community and for the GBMC employees. Most insurances, including worker's compensation, can be authorized. GBMC has OTs, PTs and Speech Therapists to provide comprehensive rehabilitation for neurologic, orthopedic, spine and hand injury diagnoses.

Bariatric Exercise Services were created to meet the challenges of the obese patient who wishes to learn effective exercise without stress of back, hips or knees.

Hand Therapy Services at GBMC are provided by a certified hand therapist (CHT) with 40 years of experience. Services are available for issues of trauma or arthritis and will be coordinated with the referring physician.
